Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd. (hereinafter the "Company") values your privacy and complies with the Act on the Promotion of Information and Communication Network Utilization and Information Protection. This Privacy Policy explains how any personal information that you provide us with may be used or disclosed, and what we do to protect your personal information. If the Company changes the policy, a notice will be posted on the bulletin board of the Company's website (or individual notices will be sent out).
This Privacy Policy shall take effect as of Oct 21, 2019.

We collect personal information as described below for various reasons, responding to your email inquiries.

Retention and Use Period of Personal Information
Unless specified otherwise, all users' personal information will be destroyed immediately upon the fulfillment of the purposes of collection and use of personal information. But, if retention of personal information is required by any related laws, the Company may retain the information for a specified period of time according to the applicable law.

Procedure and Method for Destroying Personal Information
Unless otherwise specified, all users' personal information will be destroyed immediately upon the fulfillment of the purposes of collection and use of personal information. The procedure and method for destroying personal information are presented below.
Procedure for destroying personal information
Any information provided by members will be transferred to a separate DB (confidential tray for papers) upon the fulfillment of the purposes of its collection and use, and it will be destroyed immediately or within a certain period of time under our policy and other relevant laws and regulations (refer to the retention and use period). Personal information moved to a separate DB will not be used for any purposes other than the purposes for which it was collected, unless required otherwise, by law.
Method for destroying personal information: personal information stored in an electrical format will be destroyed using a technical method that makes recovery impossible
Disclosure of Personal Information
In principle, the Company does not disclose users' personal information to third parties other than in the manner described below.
When a user has authorized the sharing of his/her personal information provided in advance
When the disclosure of personal information is required by law or requested by an investigation agency for a legal process or investigation in accordance with the law
Outsourcing Personal Information Management
The Company outsources the management of personal information to a professional third party as outlined below.

Contracted tasks: services including user identity verification and complaint handling, sending out notices, website and system management
User and Legal Guardian Rights and Options to Exercise the Rights
User and legal guardians can request for the review or update of personal information for themselves or children under the age of 14. To review and modify the personal information of a user or a child under the age of 14, an identity verification process is required. inquiry us and we will take care of your request immediately. Until your request for the correction of an error in the personal information is fulfilled, your personal information will not be used or shared. If, by any chance, incorrect information is used or shared with a third party, we will immediately inform the party to correct the information. Any personal information deleted or cancelled by the user will be processed as set out in "Retention and Use Period of Personal Information Collected by Samsung" hereof and will not be used for any purposes other than as described herein.
Use of Cookies and Opt-Out Options
The Company may use cookies and/or other data collection tools to save and retrieve information. Cookies are small text files sent by a website's server to your browser and saved on your computer's hard drive. The Company may use cookies for the purposes described below.
Purpose of collection tools (e.g. cookies)
Cookies may be used to track, analyze and understand your visit frequency or visiting time, your preferences, interests and frequency of event participation, which enables us to provide more tailored services to you. Google Analytics
We use a tool called “Google Analytics” to collect information about use of this site. Google Analytics collects information such as how often users visit this site, what pages they visit when they do so, and what other sites they used prior to coming to this site. We use the information we get from Google Analytics only to improve this site. Google Analytics collects only the IP address assigned to you on the date you visit this site, rather than your name or other identifying information. We do not combine the information collected through the use of Google Analytics with personally identifiable information. Although Google Analytics plants a permanent cookie on your web browser to identify you as a unique user the next time you visit this site, the cookie cannot be used by anyone but Google. HOW DO WE USE YOUR INFORMATION?

We use the information we collect about you from SAMSUNG OPEN SOURCE with data from features you use, your devices, and other sources such as GOOGLE ANALYTICS, as well as information about your online activities on websites for the purposes above.
